UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center in collaboration with the Division of Humanities (HumDiv), Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics (DPSM), and in partnership with the UP Open University (UPOU) offered its first remote Bridge Program.
UP Visayas Antique Extension Campus will be in full swing this year. The project which aims to democratize admission and bring UP closer to the community was the brainchild of Deputy Speaker and Antique Representative Loren Legarda who provided allocation when she was yet a senator.

Twenty-four sellers offering a variety of artisanal foods and handicrafts made from bariw and coconut shells, as well as plants for plant enthusiasts and collectors, displayed their wares in the weekend market. Notable among those being offered were two of the town’s famous delicacies – binabak (a viand made from coconut and freshwater shrimp) and molido (a dessert made from coconut and sweet potato).
The Metro Iloilo Hospital and Medical Center (MIHMC), Inc. has formally opened its COVID-19 Testing Laboratory on September 18, 2020 with vital support from Philippine Genome Center- Visayas headed by Dr. Noel Ferriols and experts from top educational institutions in Iloilo City.
Because of the pandemic, the Opening Exercises of UP Visayas this year was without its usual fanfare of entrance of colors, chants and yells from various academic groups, the palpable excitement of the first-year students and the buzz of starting a new academic year.
