Madrid, a Social Studies professor from the Division of Professional Education, was one of the Philippine representatives to the Regional Conference 2024 of the International Society for the Studies of the Chinese Overseas held on November 7 to 9, 2024, at Universitas Kristen Maranatha in Bandung, Indonesia.

It was organized by the Committee on Personnel Development and General Welfare, under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension and in partnership with the Institute of Fish Processing Technology (IFPT), CFOS.
