In pursuit of empowering journalistic voices, invited campus journalists ventured the final tranche of the skill-building initiative and public forum sessions last November 22, 2024 with a triumphant note.

The Department of Physical Education (DoPE) of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), Miagao, Iloilo celebrated its Annual PE DAY 2024, which proved to be a vibrant and inspiring event with the theme "Move Up: Building Resilience Through Physical Activities.”

Faculty members of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) represented the University at Dialogo: 2024 International Philippine Studies Conference, held from November 26–27 at the Diamond Hotel and Asian Center. The event gathered scholars from various disciplines to engage in discussions on Philippine studies, with an emphasis on local traditions, identity, communications, and migration.

Engr. Kynn O. Lebrillo, a UPV School of Technology (SOTECH) alumnus, was among the young engineers/technologists who made it in the shortlist of finalists in the 2024 Magsaysay Future Engineers/Technologists Awards - Paper Presentation and Awarding Ceremony that was held last December 2, 2024 in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

In celebration of the 77th Year of UP Presence in Iloilo, with the theme “In Solidarity with the Community,” the Institute of Aquaculture, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), through the Brackishwater Aquaculture Center (BAC) trained fish farmers and extension officers on milkfish technologies.
