Chancellor Clement C. Camposano, together with Office of Student Affairs Director Agustin G. Huyong, represented UP Visayas during the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. (BCFI) and Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI), represented by Executive Director Filipina C. Laurena and Executive Director Sebastian C. Quiniones, Jr., respectively.
Also present at the MOA signing were representatives and officials of West Visayas State University (WVSU) and Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISATU), which were also among the fifteen institutions chosen as partner institutions nationwide.
Mr. Quiniones welcomed the partner institutions and funder of the scholarship program, BCFI. He then introduced the Medical Scholarship Program (MSP).
MSP is a new program, which aims to support deserving students pursuing degrees in Doctor of Medicine, STEM, and Allied Health courses at various undergraduate academic levels, including technical vocational programs. PSFI, the social arm of Shell Pilipinas Corporation, is committed to supporting the educational journey of the Filipino youth.
The MOA signing for MSP was held at Seda Atria, Iloilo City on May 22,2024. The partnership with selected SUCs and institutions nationwide is an opportunity for students pursuing studies in the fields of medical, allied health, sciences, and engineering to get scholarships.
