Dr. Erlinda Ganzon-Naret proudly received recognition from the West Visayas State University (WVSU) as the Most Outstanding Alumna in the field of Research, Science and Technology in its 2025 Grand Jubilarian Alumni Homecoming held at the Iloilo Convention Center (ICC) last January 28.
Naret is a Retired Career Scientist and University Researcher from the Institute of Aquaculture, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas, in Miagao, Iloilo. She retired last October 26, 2018 after serving UPV for more than 41 years. She was conferred to the rank of Career Scientist 1 by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) - DOST for her scientific productivity in terms of publications in peer reviewed - ISI journals as well as her outstanding performance as presenter both in international and national conferences in aquaculture.
Recently, she was given a prestigious recognition by the Iloilo City Government as one of the Most Outstanding Ilonggos in 2024 and was also the recipient of the USA Outstanding Achievement Award in the field of Science, Technology, and Environment on July 13, 2018.
Dr. Naret is a graduate of Master in Agriculture and PhD in Agriculture in 1990 and 2013 respectively from WVSU.
