In line with the online conduct of Personnel Unified Systems Outlook (PUSO) and Budget Utilization and Liquidation System and Analytics (BULSA) systems orientation and roadshow, the University of the Philippines System held a face-to-face user training for UP Visayas (UPV) employees at Pidlaoan Hall, UPV, Miagao Campus from October 28 to 29, 2024.
The two-day activity was conducted by the UP Diliman-based core team led by Dr. Eugene Rex L. Jalao for PUSO training while Ms. Cylene Sabio led the BULSA training. The participants came from the Human Resource Development Office (HRDO), Accounting Office, Budget Office, Cash Office, and Supply, Property, and Services Office (SPSO). Present also were the members of the UPV Core Team for PUSO and BULSA led by Dr. Cherry P. Añasco.
The PUSO and BULSA are home-grown information systems developed by the Information Systems Group of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, College of Engineering, UP Diliman. These systems will replace the existing University Information System (UIS) which will be phased-out effective November 15, 2024. The PUSO will be primarily utilized by the HRDO and the BULSA by the Finance Offices and SPSO.
The activity aimed to get the users ready for system use, familiarize them with data management and various modules, address any problems or concerns regarding the use of these systems, plan the next end-user training for other offices and units, and finalize the go-live activity for UPV.
