Six UPV students amplified their advocacies on the national level during the prestigious Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC) by the Ayala Foundation.
Now in its 26th year, the congress presented a new framework of steward leadership to the delegates to be applied to their respective organizations in their universities and communities.
Kylene Anne Millanes, Jhon Kobe Patrick Serinas, and Sharaine Ghail Taaca, hailing from the College of Arts and Sciences alongside Jeremiah Keziah Balmori, Kean Miraflor, and Jenelyn Kate Tabugoc from the College of Management were part of the Top 49 student leaders all over the nation chosen after a competitive and rigorous selection processes.
With a total of six delegates in the Top 49, the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) has the biggest delegation at this year’s AYLC.
This year’s theme is “Collective Action, Lasting Impact,” which highlighted the importance of collaborative action in creating a sustainable future that creates an impact for a transformation in the community. The students enjoyed talks, small group forums, and team-building activities that were facilitated by various professionals across the Ayala group of companies.
The congress was held last July 1-5 at Seda Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna where young leaders were able to convene and discuss their advocacies while they planned out their action plan as leaders of the community upon their return.
