To equip UPV employees with practical skills in identifying and addressing computer issues, the Digital Innovation Center (DIC) conducted training sessions on basic computer troubleshooting, maintenance, and overview of digital signature on 24 March 2025, at the Pidlaoan Hall, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, Miagao campus.
Dr. Cherry P. Añasco, Asst. to the Vice Chancellor for Administration commenced the morning session of the training.
Dr. Francis D. Dimzon, Project Development Assistant - Digital Transformation and faculty of the Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics, led the training on digital signature for documents. Meanwhile, Mr. Wilfredo Palate Jr., staff of DIC, conducted the basic computer troubleshooting.
Prof. Rhea Subong-Espina, the Director of DIC, mentioned in her closing message that the training session is part of upscaling the skills of UPV employees in relation to the use and maintenance of technology, which is in line with the flagship program of UP President Angelo Jimenez – the digital transformation.
Participants were engaged in interactive learning experiences that will enable them to apply essential troubleshooting techniques and implement strategies to protect their computers from potential threats in the office.
