The Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture visited the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Miagao campus on Feb. 22 to advance discussions on potential collaborations.
As part of their visit, the team from Dalhousie University toured the facilities of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS), the Regional Research Center, and the Philippine Genome Center Visayas.
The team included David Parks, Project and Advancement Coordinator for International, Faculty of Agriculture; Lana Bos, Acting Manager of International; and Audrie-Jo McConkey, Senior Instructor of Aquaculture.
They met with Chancellor Clement Camposano, CFOS dean Dr. Harold Monteclaro, and some of the faculty and staff of UPV. The team from Dalhousie University is conducting follow-up visits with selected institutions in the Philippines.
They were toured and accompanied by Dr. Carmelo del Castillo, Dr. Mary Grace Sedanza, the faculty members of CFOS-Institute of Aquaculture, and the staff of the UPV Regional Research Center and Philippine Genome Center Visayas.
They initially visited the UPV Miagao campus in October 2023.
