Two guests from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada visited UP Visayas, Miagao campus on October 16, 2023 for possible curricular and research collaborations. David Parks (Project and Advancement Coordinator, International) and Lana Bos (Manager, International) were met by Chancellor Clement Camposano, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Philip Ian Padilla, Vice-Chancellor for Research and Extension Dr. Harold Monteclaro, and Chair of the Division of Social Sciences Dr. Johnrev Guilaran.
The meeting identified areas of potential cooperation, including mobility, research, and development projects. After the initial meeting, both parties agreed to continue the discussion and identify ways to advance the proposed partnership.
Maintaining strong international linkages is one of the thrusts of UPV to provide opportunities for joint research, sharing of educational resources and practices, and international academic and research activities for its faculty, staff, and students.
