CSC Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 hours of relevant training
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Career Service (Professional)/2nd Level Eligibility
Required Competencies:
- Specialization in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or any related field;
- Licensed Chemist, Chemical Engineer, Materials Engineer, or any related field.
- With at least one (1) research publication in an ISi-indexed journal;
- Has advanced knowledge in writing research proposals that can be funded or eventually published in ISi or peer-reviewed publications;
- With strong background in Material Science and Nanotechnology, Chemistry, or related disciplines;
- Capable of conducting large scale, group research, strategic planning, and project planning;
- Able to facilitate multi- and trans-disciplinary collaborations; has the initiative to start and complete tasks; an effective team player; with strong written and oral communication skills.
Job Summary:
Lead, initiate, and coordinate all activities of the assigned RRC Laboratory (Material Science and Nanotechnology Laboratory)
Job description:
- Coordinate all research activities within the scope of the assigned RRC Laboratory (Material Science and Nanotechnology);
- Propose and implement research projects in line with preferred competencies;
- Form collaboration groups within and outside of UPV to conduct trans and interdisciplinary research
- activities;
- Establish collaboration with local and international experts within the scope of the assigned RRC Laboratory;
- Serve as resource persons for technical trainings to be conducted by RRC;
- Engage, support, and/or provide consulting services to UPV and non-UPV researchers in their scientific projects;
- Develop instrumentation and research capabilities of the assigned RRC Laboratory (Material Science and Nanotechnology) for further research activities;
- Perform other related duties as required by the immediate supervisor.

- Certificate of attendance to relevant formal or non-formal training courses, seminars and HRD interventions attended or from the point of the last promotion;
- Certificate of employment issued by HRMO or authorized official (only for work experience relevant to the job);
- Recommendation letter from present and/or previous employer or professors;
- Certification of Awards/Citations/Commendation (has not been credited for last promotion) and Innovations/Systems Improvements;
- Certification of public service rendered (training program, technical assistance and advisory, information services, community outreach services, innovations and technology transfer services and direct extension services).
